Professional Selling and Business Marketing Certificate

Prerequisite: Grade 12 or instructor approval

Course Outline:
Students learn effective business procedures and marketing techniques for starting a business in the cosmetic industry. Basics will include a knowledge of networking, advertising techniques, product inventory and customer service. Each student will be allowed to organize and design, with the assistance of their instructor, their own business plan. Several topics will also be covered in regards to taxes, insurance, standards, etc.

The Professional Selling segment of this course is designed to assist students in developing selling skills as well as techniques for sales improvement. Professional appearance, the role of a cosmetics salesperson and salesmanship in the field of cosmetics.

Students become employable upon completion of this course. Students receive a certification stating a pass of the course and a competency level of his/her evaluation of the course.
