Make-Up Artistry Level 1 Certificate

Prerequisite: Grade 12 or instructor approval

Course Outline:
This course will cover the history and psychology of cosmetics. The theory and fundamental of make up for application in a variety of methods will also advance the students understanding. How to do corrections and fashion trends will be explored. Emphasis is on practical demonstration and experience.

Colour theory for make up and fashion will be introduced to the student through colour theory, colour combinations, style analysis, figure analysis, image profile for use in developing a well accessorized wardrobe with coordinated make up shades.

Students are responsible for their own models for practical application sessions.

Students become employable upon completion of this course. Students receive a certification stating a pass of the course and a competency level of his/her evaluation of the course.
