PURPOSE OF COURSE
This course is designed to teach how to successfully incorporate Acupuncture
into your existing therapy treatments.
PREREQUISITES
1. As instruction and materials are provided in English, students
must be able to read and understand English.
2. A current First Aid Certificate
3. Anatomy and Physiology
4. Basic Pathology

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to demonstrate an
understanding of the following:
1. Legal aspects of using acupuncture
2. Acupuncture history
3. The 14 Channels
4. The Five Element Theory
5. Mother & Son Theory
6. The Great Law of Zang-Fu
7. The Yin & Yang Laws
8. Moxibustion Techniques
9. Case-studies and record keeping
10. TCM Diagnostic Methods
11. The four underlying causes of illness
12. Advanced Needling Techniques
COURSE DELIVERY
Course material is taught in a modular forma and includes:
1. Instruction in Classroom and home study
2. Morning in-class instruction in theory and afternoon practical work

For certification from the The Canadian Examining Board of Healthcare
Practitioners
" Proof of professional status (ie. Certificates or Diploma s etc.)

" Written exam
" Five 1000 word pathology essays
" Practical exam
" 50 Case studies, with reports
